This oven-baked fruit with honey recipe is perfect for the whole family to enjoy
I was looking for something quick and easy to make with my new Le Creuset Cerise Heritage 32cm Deep Rectangular Dish and decided to make some oven-baked fruit with honey. The rectangular dish allows you to cook both sweet and savoury meals for the whole family to enjoy, roast a lamb with in-season veggies as well as toast oats and muesli in the oven. This dish is a true oven to table piece though I chose to bake the fruit first before cooling it then storing the covered dish in the fridge prior to serving. The Le Creuset 32cm rectangular dish would be the perfect dish in which to bake and serve lasagna or fruit crumble or even to roast a chicken or a leg of lamb. The dish features deep sidewalls for extra capacity, creating ample cooking space and limiting splashes in the oven. The easy-grip raised handles add to the design but they also make taking the dish from the oven a pretty easy affair. The dish is sturdily made from high fired ceramic stoneware and it’s resistant to cracking, crazing and rippling. While you can’t use the dish directly on the stovetop you can use it in the oven, microwave, grill and freezer. It has a glazed coating that made the dish easy to clean and while you can wash it by hand, the dish is also dishwasher safe and what can I say about that beautiful red glaze. As this recipe serves 6 people be sure to invite your neighbours over and bake up a delicious meal in this Le Creuset 32cm Rectangular dish. It’s a versatile dish. I like to use what is in season. Stone fruit, pears and grapes are lovely together; add dates, ice cream and toasted nuts, it's sure to be a winner. The best part is, that the leftovers make a great breakfast the next morning by serving with coconut yogurt, milk, and a handful of lightly toasted oats drizzled in honey.
