Stanley Classic Vacuum Bottle Review

Stanley Classic Vacuum Bottle Tried and Tested

A Stanley bottle can survive a -70 degree wind chill, 4,000 ft drop, speeding bullets, category 5 hurricanes. Not to mention (on a more practical scale), keep liquids hot for 40 hours, cold for 35 hours and ice for 6 days. Yes, that's 6 days! Wow, this feels oddly pretty apt right now, when at times it feels we could be teetering on the verge of living in survival mode. Stanley also produces all sorts of other quality outdoor essentials such as water bottles, food flasks, ice coolers, and various sizes of vacuum flasks. One thing is for sure: I'm done with flimsy, plastic drink bottles whose components break after a few uses. I want quality, sturdy products that will last the test of time and be eco-friendly too. I love the fierce quality and durability of this Stanley Bottle, which comes with a lifetime warranty.

First impressions:

Wow, the Stanley Classic Vacuum Bottle 1.4L is BIG! But in a good way. I love how it holds 1.4L of liquid. This makes it perfect for family outings: one water bottle to carry vs. 4! The bottle's sturdy handle is ideal for 1.4L liquid capacity, which can get quite heavy! The other great thing about the handle is that it folds in for space-saving—genius for when you have a lot to pack in the car.

How we've used the classic Stanley:

We have packed our Stanley nearly every weekend on a different adventure: camping, beach trips, hikes, picnics, to the skatepark; this bottle is perfect for families on the go. This bottle is for families on the go. We've enjoyed homemade lemonade, iced coffee, hot chocolate, cordial and lots of thirst-quenching water. While camping, we fill up the Stanley as our family water bottle during the night as well. As the bottle is quite big, we tend to pour our drinks out of it into cups or mugs, or its own lid which doubles as a cup. However, you can drink straight out of it quite easily and feel like some sort of manly giant. I like the retro feel of screwing off the top and pouring a drink from the container, the way it used to be done before pop tops and straws were a thing.

Cleanliness:

Stainless steel is the way to go for keeping clean and hygienic. I never have to worry about harbouring germs or cleaning off dirt/dust when the bottle has been laid down on the ground. With no straw or element to touch with your hands, your drink is poured directly from the bottle and into your cup.
