Easy and convenient breakfast for busy mornings

When it comes to breakfast, especially on a busy morning, we need it quick and easy. This Strawberry Chia Seed Overnight Oats is not only a great way to kick start your morning, but it's also a nutritious breakfast packed with proteins, calcium, fibre and omega-3 fatty acids. Plus, this breakfast meal is also so easy to make. All you need is a handful of ingredients and a Mason jar with a tight-fitting lid. We used the Kilner Breakfast Jar to keep the ingredients fresh until the next morning. This breakfast jar also comes with a stainless steel spoon attached to the side for convenience and eliminates the need for disposable utensils.

All you have to do is pour all the ingredients except the strawberries into the jar, refrigerate overnight and add the strawberries the next day. The best thing about this recipe is that you can mix and match your toppings by adding a variety of mixed nuts or frozen berries for that extra refreshing crunch. Additionally, you can also drizzle honey for some natural sweetness. With endless options for customisation and convenient make-ahead preparation, this Strawberry Chia Seed Overnight Oats recipe is the perfect breakfast solution for anyone on the go.

Ingredients
  • 50g rolled oats
  • 150ml of milk or vegan alternative
  • 2 tbsp of strawberry jam
  • 1 tbsp of chia seeds
  • Strawberries, fresh or frozen
Method
  1. In a bowl, combine the oats, chia seeds and milk. Stir the mixture well.
  2. Layer the oats mixture with the jam into your Kilner® Breakfast Jar and leave in the fridge overnight.
  3. The next day, add fresh or frozen strawberries and seal the Breakfast Jar with a disc and lid.
  4. Feel free to top up with more fresh berries, nuts or any other topping of your choice.
