Tefal are one of the most well renowned Cookware brands, known for producing quality non stick and stainless steel pots, pans and cookware sets.
Among our favorite Tefal Frying Pans is the 26cm non-stick Frying pan included in the Tefal Ingenio Performance Set. This new set of innovatively designed cookware, made to function as several pieces in one clever, space-saving set. The set comes with 8 pieces in total: a frypan, 2 sauté pans, 1 removable handle for all included pans, and 2 kinds of lids (one kind for cooking and the other for storage.
The cookware works great used together in a set –2 or 3 dishes of your meal can be prepared and juggled between stove, oven and worktop at one time. This saves time and allows for more efficiency while cooking. Pans are moved from the stove directly into the oven with a removable handle. This is a well thought out feature with a sturdy clamp and release button system.
The pans can be used on any cooking surface, making them induction compatible cookware. The Expert TM non-stick technology is made with layers of scratch resistant materials to create a high performing surface area. The Thermo-spot technology shows when the pan is perfectly heated to the optimum cooking temperature.
The glass lids are easy to see food bubbling away inside, fit snugly inside the pots, and are simple to lift with the ergonomic butterfly grip that doesn’t get hot to the touch.
The pans are fridge and freezer safe, so come with snugly fitting plastic storage lids for direct storage of food. So it is possible to cook, serve and store food all in one pan. I must admit using cookware in this way still takes some getting used to, but is perfect for family meals such a pasta bakes.
One of my favourite aspects of the Ingenio line is the easy pour rim. Many other reputable names in cookware claim to have rims optimised for pouring, but I find they do not actually pour well. Liquids pour perfectly from the edge of the Tefal pans, with little to no drips.
Clean up is so simple thanks to the non-stick properties easily releasing anything on the cooking surface.
