It’s summer here in Sydney, which means more beach time, more BBQs and more icecream! Oh, and way more pies and quiches if you ask me.
I love cooking and would never serve anything that looks and tastes less than perfect. It’s a problem I know especially when you try and remove a pie from the tin and half the base brakes, or when pieces of your quiche stay stuck to the edges. It only means I’ll be making it all over again. This is why I think the bakeware we buy is crucial when aiming for perfection and what’s better than a healthy-ish pear and walnut tart baked in a MasterPro quiche tin? Keep reading to find out…

Testing out the quiche tin was exciting because I know how horribly wrong it can go if the tin isn’t of good quality. Things such as an uneven bake and (as mentioned before) breaking it when removing from the tin are just two examples. In order to see if MasterPro was more talk, I decided not to oil the tin when baking the tart.
To start, I needed wholemeal spelt flour, natvia, oil, cinnamon, yogurt, walnuts and pears for decoration.
I measured all the dry ingredients and in a separate bowl mixed the wet ingredients together.
I then poured the wet mixture in with the dry mixture to form a soft dough like consistency.
Once all the ingredients were incorporated, I poured it into the quiche tin and covered with cling film. Using the bottom of a glass, I began pressing down on the mixture to flatten it out and spread it uniformly.
I then covered the tart with a layer of sliced pears and sprinkled with cinnamon.
Once it was fully baked, I let it cool for 5min in the tin.
Reminding myself to breath, I slowly tried lifting the bottom up and I cannot explain to you how easy and simple it was. Perfect!
oh, and it tasted delicious too!
