One of the most underrated knife brands in Australia is Messermeister.
Not because the knives are anything less than razor sharp, well balanced and durable, more so because they are largely unknown, as unlike many other brands on the market they aren’t spending countless dollars on advertising.
All four ranges are made in Europe and reflect the quality you would expect from a European knife.
Olivia Elite, Royale Elite and Meridian Elite are all manufactured in Solingen, while, Four Seasons are all manufactured in Santa Catarina, Portugal.
Olivia Elite:
Undoubtedly one of the most stunning knives handles in the market. This range boasts an exquisite and natural Italian Olive Wood handle with a secure ergonomic grip.
The blade, bolster and tang are all made from one piece of hot drop hammer forged German steel alloy.
These knives are handcrafted one at a time and are of heirloom quality.
Royal Elite:
The Messermeister Royale Elité range features the same top quality German blade as the Olivia Elite, however, features a beautiful American Walnut Burl Handle. The Walnut burl is a rich and deep brown colour and is prized for its hard, strong characteristics.
Handcrafted in vintage style this knife is one of a kind.
Meridian Elite:
The Messermeister Meridian Elité features the same finest German stainless steel alloy blade as the ranges above. However, true to traditional German knife style this features a full exposed tang handle with triple rivets.
Visually similar to the Wusthof Classic range, this knife performs as well as or even better. This range is known to be the most durable and of industrial strength.
Four Seasons:
The Messermeister Four Seasons range is designed for daily challenges in high volume commercial kitchens.
They are die-cut from a single billet of fine German stainless steel and complemented with over-sized hygienic handles.
These knives are also known to be easy to sharpen so ideal for repetitive commercial jobs.
