Steps to Making French Press Coffee

If you’re fairly new to the coffee scene or in search of making good, simple and quality coffee to brew every morning, here’s how it is done: | Step 1: Weigh your freshly roasted coffee beans about 55grams (about 10-11 tablespoons) | Step 2: Grind the beans on the coarsest setting of your coffee grinder or similar to the coarseness of sea salt. Be sure that your coffee grounds are coarse and evenly sized for optimal flavour. Pour the grounds into the French press. | Step 3: Heat fresh water to 93˚C or bring water to boil and let it cool for about 30 seconds to a minute. | Step 4: Pour in hot water into the French press just enough to soak the grounds. Give it a quick vigorous stir in constant motion and wait for about half a minute. | Step 5: Continue pouring hot water until it reaches below the rim of your French press. | Step 6: Put the plunger in place then slowly plunge halfway down and pull back up just below the surface to prevent the coffee grounds from crusting. | Step 7: Steep for 4 minutes to create a strong brew. | Step 8: Immediately plunge down all the way to the bottom. Your coffee is ready! For best taste and results, drink your coffee when freshly brewed to savour its optimum flavour. If you are not going to drink the coffee right after, avoid leaving it in the French press as it will turn awfully bitter. Instead, pour it into a thermal flask or travel mug if you are on the go. These thermal mugs and flasks will keep your warm beverages hot or cold drinks cool for long hours. In need of a French press that is affordable, good quality and sturdy?
