The classic sweet and sour sauce stars in this easy weeknight stir fry recipe, balanced with the right amount of protein and nutritional veggies to make it a great, quick weeknight meal for busy days!

This recipe uses the Staub cast iron wok as the cookware's even heat distribution ensures perfectly seared chicken. Sweet and Sour Chicken with Noodles Recipe

Preparation time: 10 minutes | Cooking time: 10 minutes | Serves: 4

Ingredients:

  • 440g of your favourite noodles
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 500g chicken breasts, thinly sliced
  • 1 garlic clove, peeled and finely chopped
  • 1 large capsicum, sliced
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 515g sweet and sour cooking sauce
  • Chopped spring onions, to garnish

Method

  1. Prepare noodles according to packet instructions. Set aside.
  2. Heat oil in a large wok over high heat. Add chicken. Stir fry for 2-3 minutes or until cooked through. Remove chicken from the pan. Set aside.
  3. Add garlic and stir fry for a minute or until fragrant. Add vegetables. Stir fry for 2-3 minutes or until crisp-tender. Add sweet and sour cooking sauce. Stir fry for 1 minute.
  4. Add chicken and noodles. Stir fry for 2-3 minutes. Garnish with chopped spring onions.
