Easy Goat Cheese Pizza Recipe

Elza Hean |

A surprisingly satisfying pizza — no leftovers guaranteed!

This pizza take is an improved and more well-balanced version of a pizza. With a combination of different cheeses, topped with leafy greens, prosciutto, pear and fig, you'll want to add this seasonal pizza to your table when pear season is at its ripest. For the perfect crusted pizza, we baked it using the Nordic Ware Naturals Jelly Roll Pan. If you don't have a baking tray big enough for the pizza, this recipe can also be cooked using a traditional pizza stone. This recipe is easy to prep on weekdays and makes a great weekend lunch meal. If you like your pizza a little tangier, drizzle balsamic on top and enjoy!

Ingredients
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 pre-packaged pizza dough
  • 1/8-1/4 cup mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 4 slices prosciutto
  • 1-2 pears sliced lengthwise
  • 6 figs sliced into circles (dried or fresh)
  • 1/4 cup goat cheese (plus more if desired)
Salt and Pepper to taste:
  • 3-4 basil leaves for garnish
  • Balsamic vinegar or glaze
  • Optional: Arugula when serving
Method: 1. Preheat oven 200°C. Grease a Jelly Roll Sheet Pan with ½ the olive oil. Press pizza dough into pan. Bake for 10 minutes or follow the package instructions on how to prebake the base. 2. Remove the parbaked pizza base from the oven and spread the leftover olive oil evenly over the crust. 3. Sprinkle crust with garlic powder and mozzarella. 4. Layer the pizza starting with sliced pears then following with figs, prosciutto and crumbled goat cheese. 5. Season with crushed pepper and salt and bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until the pizza crust and pears turn slightly golden. Let it cool for 10 minutes. 6. Garnish with basil, arugula and balsamic.
