I was surprised at how many great choices and designs there are from Contigo. Not only with great features, such as one-handed drinking, no spillage and clip on handles for your bag, but also in so many attractive colours and designs. It was quite hard to choose only two to try out!

In the
kids water bottles range there are so many cute designs to choose from including dinosaurs, princesses, castles and sail boats, but in the end I went for the Contigo Swish Autoseal Bottle in Citron Lime. What sold me on these
water bottles was the claim of completely stopping spills, even between drinks. The AUTOSEAL technology features a button that must be pressed for the water to be released. Oscar instantly worked this out and could easily use the bottle for himself. I like the simplicity of pressing the button to drink – there are no flip lids, removable handles or extra parts to clean as often seen with kids’ drink bottles. When not in use, the bottle can be flung all over the place: in his bag, turned upside down in the car, ran with – you get the picture, it never leaks! It holds a lot of water but the slim design means Oscar can hold it easily with one hand. This bottle is not only useful for kids – it would also work very well for sports players, those always on the go or who have lots to carry and prefer a smaller drink bottle.
For myself I was drawn to the Ashland Infuser Autospout Water Bottle in Jade. This bottle features many interesting elements, namely a compartment at the bottom to add fresh fruit. This has a strainer to separate the fruit from the water, allowing only the fruit flavor to infuse through the whole bottle, which holds a hefty 710ml. The bottle also features a handy clip so that you can attach to your bag. I find this to be extremely helpful, as I always have so much to carry with all the kids’ gear too. This helps me to remember my own water and to be able to carry it easily. Also with the AUTOSEAL technology, the bottle is leak proof, spill proof and has an easy to use flip top spout with a protective cover, keeping it germ-free when not in use. This bottle can entirely with one hand, which again I find useful as a busy mum of two.

Infusing fresh fruit into your water is a wonderful way of drinking more – it tastes amazing and makes water feel more interesting. I also like knowing that I am getting extra vitamins and anti-oxidants with my regular water intake. I definitely have noticed that I drink more water when using the Ashland Infuser. Here are some delicious fruit combinations I’ve tried in the infuser: peach, mango and mint, watermelon and strawberry, fresh ginger and orange, cucumber, mint and lime, and frozen cherries.
Contigo has so many varieties and options: the coffee mugs will keep your coffee hot for 4 hours and always feature the autoseal technology to prevent burns and spills. They will also will keep your drink cold for up to 12 hours. There are shake mixers, tea infusers, flasks, travel mugs and even a ‘kangaroo’ design bottle, which has a hidden compartment for your valuables. There really is something for everyone in Contigo drink bottles.
