The cooking surface of the HaptIQ has a rough feel to the touch, unlike other smooth, non-stick surfaces. This coarse feel is due to Scanpan's Stratanium blended with the non-stick coating, which makes it more hard-wearing.
The PFOA and PFOS-free non-stick coating will never scratch or flake off into food, and will not lose performance quality over time.
