Host A Great Coffee Morning with Le Creuset

David Kahn |

What does a coffee morning consist of, anyway? Is it merely meeting up with your mates for coffee? I’d say a coffee morning is a gathering of friends, acquaintances or friends of friends, after breakfast but before lunchtime. It is pretty casual, yet has more focus and formality than a mere gathering of friends. It often has a theme, such as a fundraiser, book club or meaning. Le Creuset Coffee Morning-002 A set of Le Creuset enamel coated mugs are perfect for this sort of thing. These beautiful Le Creuset mugs represent the brand’s ethos in being classic and timeless. I love the way the smooth enamel exterior looks and feels to the touch and the colours look so vibrant and fresh. As with the cookware, the stoneware mugs feature the classic raised logo and are very hard wearing, resistant to cracks and dish washer safe. As well as looking good, they just feel nice in your hands. Le Creuset Coffee Morning-004 Le Creuset have a wide variety of tea pots, kettles, sugar bowls and canisters in the same attractive enamel finish. The French Coffee Press is designed to serve very strong coffee, European style. The coffee steeps and then is strained by pressing the plunger. I love the signature Le Creuset colour, Volcanic Orange! Le Creuset Coffee Morning-008

How to host a great coffee morning:

  • Pick a theme or subject close to your heart. This is a good chance to raise awareness of certain issues or bring light to something that might need attention. You may want to use the opportunity to raise funds for a charity or cause.
  • Serve great quality coffee and have a selection of nice teas for those who prefer
  • Have decaf options available
  • Use beautiful mugs or tea set rather than plastic/styrofoam containers.
  • Have one or two light snack offerings, such as muffins and fruit
  • Start the morning with a short talk about your cause, but then allow the rest of the time for conversation and socializing. Make sure to let your guests know the details of how they can contribute to your cause on the day.
