Rather than the curved edge of a paring knife, the Shun Classic Vegetable Knife has a straight edge that is 8. 9cm long. The blade is made of VG-Max steel that provides incredible edge retention and is also clad with Damascus stainless steel, which brings out the distinctive pattern of the layered steel. This knife also features uniquely stable D-shape handle design for a secure grip. This perfectly balanced knife features a black Pakkawood handle to add to the beauty of this knife.

SHUN PARING KNIFE.

This is the knife I've been looking for my kitchen. A small knife with the properties of a chef's knife. Sharp, good feel and good control. Great looks too. 5 stars and two thumbs up.

You get what you pay for :)

This was my first quality knife and worth the outlay as it is so comfortable and efficient to use, I now look forward to preparing food. This design with a curved down tip doesn’t allow a rocking motion when cutting but works for straight chopping and peeling small vegetables.
