This exclusive Premier Bread Knife by Shun features a distinguished hand-hammered blade with a stunning walnut coloured Pakkawood handle that evokes the artistry of traditional hand-forged knives. Beautifully Handcrafted in Japan, the exquisite blade is thin and lightweight and features a VG-Max cutting core with 34 layers of Damascus steel for optimal results. The walnut coloured Pakkawood handles are perfectly balanced for a pinch grip and have a two-position design providing a trigger grip for pull cuts. The hand hammered finish, known as tsuchime in Japanese, reduces drags when cutting and helps to quickly release food from the blade for an effortless cut. The stainless steel end caps embossed with the Shun logo adds stability, strength and wide weight distribution from end to end. The bread knife can be used on both soft and crusty loaves without squashing thanks to the lovely searrated edge.
