Introducing the Woll Diamond Active Lite Induction Low-Pressure Pot
Pressure cookers for many years have been known as a "One Pot Wonder", providing convenience where you can easily create delicious stews, rice and succulent beef and poultry dishes with ease. But what if you want to add ingredients while cooking? You have to wait for all the steam and cooking aromas to be released before you can add more to your recipe that is cooking.
This can become time-consuming particularly when you have multiple ingredients to be cooked at different stages, as well as a loss of cooking aromas and nutrients each time the high amount of steam pressure is released.
The alternative is to place all ingredients in at once but then that usually results in dishes losing their complexity in flavours or vegetables like potatoes being cooked too soft. To solve this problem, Woll has invented the patented Woll Active Diamond Lite Low-Pressure Pot.
This unique pressure cooker solves the above and ensures healthier cooking by revolutionising the traditional method of pressure cooking, combining casting technology with an innovative patented low pressure-lid so we can do even more wonders with this pot.
Want to add ingredients on the go while cooking? Add the potatoes or vegetables after the beef has seared or phase the spices in stages? Simply open the lid with one hand and throw them in!
Later in this article, we will be sharing with you Woll Diamond’s Succulent Beef Goulash recipe which can be cooked in the Woll Diamond Active Lite.
So the good news about this pot is that you can remove the lid from the pot at any point in time and add ingredients gradually while pressure cooking. It also means better control of the cooking time that each ingredient needs. Woll calls this Active Technology and this is not something that a traditional pressure cooker can do.
What can you cook in a Woll Diamond Active Lite?
Almost anything! It cooks rice well by letting it simmer for 4 minutes, then turn off the heat and wait for an additional 10 minutes. It also cooks tough foods like beans and chickpeas in much less than an hour without needing to pre-soak. Anything that needs to be tenderised such as potatoes, braised meat and roasts can also be cooked in this pot. It is also fantastic for meat and vegetable stew dishes and curries like dahl.
What’s great about Woll Diamond Active Lite?
1. It has the world’s best non-stick coating
It is designed for healthy cooking and eating, allowing you to cook with little to no oil. This pot can retain vitamins as well as trace elements. Woll recommends that when cooking with fats or oils, never cook for a long time on high temperature to avoid getting it to the oil’s smoking point. This will ruin the dish flavours.
2. Constant pressure equalisation
Another reason to love this cookware is the steam release valve that shoots upwards into your hood instead of into your wall. You’d think that would be a given, and yet in most regular pressure cookers, you spend a lot of time dodging streams of steam and wiping tomato sauce and Aquafaba off your walls and countertops. The valve has a silicone cover and it automatically adapts as you increase or decrease the cooking temperature to control pressure and steam.
3. Exclusive Woll cookware guarantee
Diamond Active Lite is a cookware essential that can change the way people cook at home. This multi-functional appliance has the ability to open up a whole new world to amateur cooks with busy families that want to get dinner on the table a little quicker. So we recommend you try this piece of cookware. If you're still on the fence about whether or not you should invest in Diamond Active Lite, here's a motivation - we are offering an Exclusive 60 Day Money Back Guarantee!
How to Make Succulent Beef Goulash using Woll Diamond Active Lite
Total Prep Time: 70 minutes | Serves: 4
Ingredients
- 3 large onions
- 1 tbsp. Oil for frying
- 700g beef goulash, cut into roughly 2 x 2 cm cubes
- 1tbsp. tomato paste
- 1-2 tbsp. Paprika
- Pepper
- 200ml stock or bouillon
- 3 peppers, red and yellow
- 100 ml cream
- 1tbsp. starch or sauce thickener
Method
1. Take the goulash out of the refrigerator about 30 minutes before sautéing it. Slice the onions finely. Set the pot at the highest setting to heat up for 3 minutes, then sauté half of the goulash for about 3 minutes, remove it and sauté the other half. Add the onions and tomato paste and continue frying.
2. Add the liquid, season with paprika and pepper, stir and place the Diamond Active Lite lid (be sure to wipe the rims beforehand). Wait for the valve to respond (steam will escape), then turn down to the lowest setting. The valve should be visible but heat shouldn’t be released continuously. Note: The cooking time for the beef goulash is 60 minutes.
3. While it’s cooking, clean the peppers and cut them into fine strips. Open the Diamond Active Lite lid 10 minutes before the cooking time ends, inspect the meat for doneness and add the peppers. Place the lid on again, and gradually increase the heat until you see the valve respond. Lower the heat and finish cooking for another 10 minutes.
4. Lift the Diamond Active Lite lid again and add the cream to the goulash and thicken to taste with starch or sauce thickener mixed with water. Season to taste with pepper, salt and paprika.
