Why Scanpan HaptIQ is Suitable for Any Kitchen Owner
Honestly, I'm in love (sorry wifey) with the new Scanpan range. These guys know what's up when it comes to pans. 10 years in the making shows the level of commitment put into the perfect non-stick pan for both commercial and residential use. Using my new and super sleek Scanpan HaptlQ Frypan I decided to whip up a frittata for the family! My folks are over from Ireland now, so it's a bit of a madhouse here, which means food needs to be cost-effective, quick to make, and simple to prepare. Well, a frittata ticks every box. What's even better is the superb non-stick Stratanium+ coating from the new Scanpan HaptlQ range. So if I'm distracted by the toddler, the old man's long-winded stories, and mum "trying" to help, I could breathe easy knowing the frittata would slide out effortlessly. They use a Stratanium+ coating. What's that? Well, I'm no scientist, but from what I've read, I can also confirm through use that its quality is second to none. Stratanium is described as "multiple layers of non-stick finish including small and large particles that interlock with the thermal sprayed layers and reinforce the non-stick coating. This layering makes it possible to increase the thickness and provides a 30% improved non-stick effect". Meaning from a home cook and chef's perspective, that you'll have a quality cookware piece that lasts way longer than your average pan which holds temperature ideally and more importantly, has even heat distribution. This means when cooking more than one steak or piece of fish in a pan, you will get an even sear all over. Often there are what you call "hot spots" in regular pans that give half your steak a beautiful crust, while leaving the other a little grey looking. When space is a premium on your range, you need to know your cookware can perform as well as you can. I am a bit of both. As a recipe developer, stay-at-home parent, and caterer, I need a pan that can travel. I regularly cook in other people's homes so it could be the gas stove on one day and the induction on the next. Knowing Scanpan works everywhere is definitely a plus. Having these pans in various sizes allows me to whip up quality meals on both the stovetop and in the oven up to 260C. I do all the cooking at home - Mrs AnotherFoodBlogger has no real interest, but the rare time she does, I've seen her scraping pans away with metal utensils and destroying them by chucking them into the dishwasher. Scanpan's new rage allows any type of utensil to be used, so I can breathe easy seeing her grab a metal spatula. Firstly, the eggs she is invariably cooking won't be stuck to the pan, and secondly, well, I'm not stressed about seeing a big gash on the non-stick coating. What's even better about the Scanpan HaptIQ range is they are dishwasher safe! This means cleaning up is a breeze, and you know that your pan won't warp, buckle, or be easily damaged. With a guarantee of 10 years too, Scanpan is undoubtedly confident with their product and I can certainly see why. I could sit here and wax lyrically about these pans, but my best advice is to hit up Everten and check them out or the Scanpan site directly to learn more about their patented design!Next Read: Healthy Green Frittata with Herb Salad Recipe
